Once again, Tafta is hosting a prestigious fundraising gala dinner in aid of care services for Durban's elders. With just 300 seats available, you're invited to book early to avoid missing out on an evening of outstanding food and entertainment.

Time: 6.30 pm
Cost: R650 per person
Dress: Black tie/formal

Proceeds from the eveing will go towards the cost of Tafta's Home Based Care service. As a result of the growing shortage in suitable accommodation, this service to elders in their own homes has been extended significantly within the eThekwini municipality. Today we reach 190 elders, ensuring their basic right to dignity. But the demand still outstrips supply – we need to help more elders through this model of care, which sees younger members of the community being trained and paid to care for their elders. It's a win-win programme – elders receive the personal care they require and carers are able to earn a living through rewarding employment.
