Tafta Golden Ticket Lottery Competition

The promoter of this competition is Tafta, non-profit registration number 002 093 NPO (“the Promoter”), whose registered address is Tafta Kings Hall, 80 Samora Machel Street, Durban CBD, 4001. The competition runs from 1 September to 30 November 2022. There will be three (3) monthly draws and one final grand prize draw as follows:

September ticket entries (R10k) – Draw Date: 14th October 2022
October ticket entries (R10k) – Draw Date: 15th November 2022
November ticket entries (R10k) – Draw Date: 15th December 2022
All ticket entries – Grand prize (R50k) – Draw Date: 15th December 2022

Eligibility
The competition is open to South African citizens over the age of 18, with the exception of Tafta employees, Board members, and their immediate families.

Acceptance
All participants and winners agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which will be interpreted by the Promoter, in its sole discretion and its decision regarding any dispute will be conclusive, final and binding and will not be challenged on any grounds, including without limitation, the grounds that the Promoter failed to act reasonably, fairly, in good faith or otherwise in accordance with the principles or procedural fairness.

Tafta reserves the right to amend the validity dates of this competition at any time.

Entries
To enter this competition, entrants need to buy a raffle ticket. Payment may only be via the Tafta website and its payment mechanism in order to ensure the sequential issuing of tickets. No other forms of ticket purchase will be allowed.

You may enter as many times as you like, for as many draws as you like.

Winners will be randomly chosen from all valid entries by an Independent Digital System, and verified by the Lottery Manager of Tafta.

Winners will be notified telephonically or via e-mail within one week of the draw, on the cell phone number or e-mail address used to enter the competition.

Winners will have five working days to claim acceptance of the prize. Upon failure to do so, Tafta reserves the right to draw a new winner in accordance with the terms stipulated herein.

The decision of the Promoter is final and the Promoter shall not enter into any correspondence about the result.

Entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions will be disqualified.

The Promoter shall not be liable for any disruption to the competition, whether due to technical problems or otherwise, which is beyond its reasonable control. In the event of any disruption to the competition the Promoter shall use its reasonable endeavours to remedy any disruption and resume the competition on a fair and equitable basis to the entrants.

By entering the competition entrants warrant that all information submitted by them is true, current, and complete.

Personal Data
Completion of a contact form is required for registration. All of the data entered into the form by the entrant is collected, processed and used by Tafta in order to administer the competition.

The Promoter keeps the data to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws or regulations.

Ownership and Publicity
Tafta reserves the right to publish the name(s) and/or photograph(s) of the winner. Entrants understand and agree that their submission may be posted and publicly viewable, and that Tafta may use this information to promote or publicise the competition.

Details of the winner/s may also be announced on the Promoter’s website and any other media properties that it chooses. The Promoter, acting reasonably, retains the right to delay the timing of the publication of the winners of the competition.

Release of Liability
The Promoter reserves the right to terminate the competition at any time.

The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility for entries not received because they have been lost, or not received due to interrupted internet connections or miscommunications, or other electronic malfunctions.

Any entries found to be fraudulent will result in the entrant being excluded from the competition.

By participating, all entrants release the Promoter, its affiliates, partners, subsidiaries, officers, directors, agents, employees and all entities associated with the development and execution of this competition from any and all liability with respect to and in any way arising from participation in this competition, acceptance or use of the prize.

The Promoter reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition in the event that any portion of any website used to administer any aspect of the competition becomes technically corrupted.

The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries.

Tafta uses the personal information described above for any of the following purposes:

Donations/Refunds

Credit card details are not collected or stored on our website. All online credit card transactions are processed by Virtual Card Services, a division of DPO Paygate, which is certified ‘Verified by Visa’ and ‘Securecode’. Encryption complies with international standards.
