‘Running Ron’ raises funds for Tafta

Among the 20 000 runners who lined up for the start of the Comrades Marathon on Sunday 11 June 2023 was Tafta ambassador, Ronald Smith. He completed the race in an amazing 8 hours and 47 minutes. But for ‘Running Ron’, as he is known, finishing The Ultimate Human Race was more than a personal achievement … it was about helping others along the way.

Through support for his Comrades fundraiser, Ron collected money for elders in need. Both Ron and his sister Shayna are loyal supporters of Tafta. Since they began running almost six years ago, they’ve dedicated many hours of training, sacrifice and hard work to promoting our cause and raising funds for us.
