Buying a home with Life Rights

With the Life Rights scheme, you buy the right to live in a specific unit for the rest of your life.

Under the agreement, the property never becomes yours and cannot be bequeathed to an heir in your Will. Tafta remains the sole owner of the unit and carries the responsibility for maintenance and the upkeep of the building or complex and its facilities. On termination of the Life Right, the purchaser will receive 100% of the purchase price or 80% of the resale price – whichever is the lesser.
