Easter Egg hunts aren’t just for kids!
Our over 60s may not believe in the Easter bunny any more. But, at the Mary Asher Wellness Centre, they were certainly up for all the fun and excitement of an Easter egg hunt, followed by tea. These elders certainly proved that joy has no age limit. Our grateful thanks to Alive Air, who made the event possible.
At Anna Conradie Wellness Centre, residents gathered for a relaxed Easter brunch, sharing tea, treats, and the pleasure of one another’s company.
Spirit of giving at Easter
But perhaps what stood out most this Easter was the spirit of giving. Thoughtful donations reached residents at John Conradie Frail Care, while at John Dunn House, a visit from Kim Jones and Oxford brought something even more meaningful … time, presence, and genuine human connection. The kind that stays with you long after the day is over.
At Primrose, residents transformed stones into works of art through rock painting and dotting techniques. What began as a simple activity has grown into something lasting … a developing prayer garden, where each painted rock contributes to a shared place of reflection, peace, and quiet togetherness.
Across Tafta, Easter showed up in generosity, creativity, conversation, and in care. And in those moments, elders felt a sense of renewal – not just of season, but of connection.
