Tafta Elder Abuse Helpline gets a new look – and more ways to connect
Since its launch in November 2022, the Tafta Elder Abuse Line (TEAL) has received more than 4 700 calls from older persons across South Africa seeking assistance, guidance, and protection.
Despite its obvious success, we feel we could still do more. So, along with bold new branding, TEAL now has its own Facebook page offering quick and easy access to information and resources – and new WhatsApp and email channels.
If you can’t call the toll-free line 0800 10 11 10, you can WhatsApp 072 459 2613 or email help@tafta.org.za to report abuse or neglect of older persons in complete confidentiality.
More exciting news is a partnership with Vega School of Design to re-imaginine a global issue, and explore 7 different outcomes for reshaping the norm around a heavy subject. Watch this space!
