Enjoying a life worth living
Yesterday, elders from the John Conradie House care and assisted living units visited the uShaka Beach, for some fun in the sun.
What a joyous outing it was! With assistance from the lifeguards on duty, wheelchair bound elders had the opportunity to dip their feet in the water and wriggle their toes in the warm sand. The smiles as the waves crushed against their feet were priceless.
For many of these elders, their last trip to the beach goes back over a decade. You can imagine how the experience evoked emotions of joy and memories of times gone by.
Well done to the team at John Conradie House for arranging this much appreciated outing and giving joy to our elders.
